Dua for parents

Say this regularly for your parents

رَبِّ ارْحَمْهُمَا كَمَا رَبَّيَانِي صَغِيراً

Rabbi irhamhuma, kama rabbayani saghiran

My Lord, have mercy on them as they brought me up when I was small.

Dua for guidance for others

Say it to pray for guidance for yourself and others

رَبَّنَا لَا تُزِغْ قُلُوبَنَا بَعْدَ إِذْ هَدَيْتَنَا وَهَبْ لَنَا مِن لَّدُنكَ رَحْمَةً، ۚ إِنَّكَ أَنتَ الْوَهَّابُ

Rabbana la tuzigh qulubana ba’da idh hadaytana, wahab lana min ladunka rahma, innaka anta al-Wahhab

Our Lord, let not our hearts deviate after You have guided us and grant us mercy from Yourself. Indeed, You are the Bestower.

Dua for the believers

Say it regularly for all Muslims

رَبَّنَا اغْفِرْ لِلْمُؤْمِنِينَ وَالْمُؤْمِنَاتِ

Rabbana ighfir lilmu’minina walmu’minat

Our Lord, forgive the believing men and believing women.

Dua for the sick

Say it when praying for someone who is ill

اللَّهُمَّ رَبَّ النَّاسِ، أَذْهِبِ الْبَأْسَ، اشْفِ أَنْتَ الشَّافِي، لَا شِفَاءَ إِلَّا شِفَاؤُكَ

Allahumma Rabb an-nas, adhhib al-ba’s, ishfi anta ash-Shafi, la shifa’a illa shifa’uka

O Allah, Lord of mankind, remove the harm and heal, You are the Healer; there is no healing except Your healing.

Dua for mercy on all humans

Say it for yourself and others when seeking mercy

رَبَّنَا لَا تُؤَاخِذْنَا إِن نَّسِينَا أَوْ أَخْطَأْنَا

Rabbana, la tu’akhidhna in naseena aw akhta’na

Our Lord, do not impose blame upon us if we have forgotten or erred.

Someone who passed away

Say it when someone who has passed away

اللَّهُمَّ اغْفِرْ لَهُ، وَارْحَمْهُ وَعَافِهِ، وَاعْفُ عَنْهُ

Allahumma ighfir lahu, warhamhu wa ‘afihi, wa’fu ‘anhu

O Allah, forgive him, have mercy on him grant him well-being, and pardon him.
