Meaning
Introduction
Ar-Rahmaan, derived from the root rahmah (mercy, compassion, tenderness), is one of the most majestic Names of Allah. It signifies His boundless mercy that encompasses every being, believer and disbeliever alike. This mercy is not limited by time or place; it is a mercy that sustains existence itself. Allah is Ar-Rahmaan, the One whose mercy is infinite, whose care is constant, and whose compassion embraces all creation in every moment of life.

Reflection
To know Ar-Rahmaan is to realize that every breath, every heartbeat, and every moment of ease is a gift from His mercy. His compassion reaches those who remember Him and those who forget, those who believe and those who deny. It is a mercy that asks for nothing in return yet surrounds all that exists. When we reflect on Ar-Rahmaan, our hearts soften. Even when we turn away, He continues to provide, to protect, and to forgive.
